Jurisprudence

Jurisprudence is defined in the Louisiana Physical Therapy Board Rules as the body of law applicable to the practice of physical therapy in Louisiana including the Practice Act and the rules promulgated by the board (Rule §123).  Attending a Live Jurisprudence Seminar will count for two (2) Jurisprudence Continuing Education contact hours to be used in licensees biennial renewal requirements (Louisiana Physical Therapy Board Practice Act Rule §194).

Please be advised that the Louisiana Physical Therapy Board is hosting only the Jurisprudence and is not responsible for registration for any other part of the APTA Louisiana Fall Meeting. 




Webinar Options

As these webinars are one hour each, licensees must complete two (2) webinars to gain enough hours for your license renewal. Certificates will be emailed within five (5) business days post webinar unless otherwise noted. Licensees must attend the entire webinar in order to gain credit. Partial attendance will not be granted credit.

Online Exam

If you cannot attend a live Jurisprudence, you may take the exam online and receive two (2) credit hours of continuing education. The exam is accesible via your dashboard.
